Greg's Electronics offers free delivery and setup for any converter box purchased from us. With one of our converter boxes, you can enjoy crisp, clear digital reception on your analog television for years to come without monthly fees!!!
If you're internet shopping, you'll find that some US based websites are much cheaper. This is because there is a $40 government rebate coupon program in the US, and some online retailers have discounted their prices by $40, because of the coupon, making their prices misleadingly low. Canadians cannot get this coupon discount, and there is no rebate program in place in Canada.

The converter connects to a standard UHF antenna, and outputs the converted signal on channel 3/4, and as composite video and S-video signals. Video can be outputted in either standard (4:3) or wide screen (16:9). Stereo audio is available from two RCA connectors, and it can be decoded by a Dolby Surround decoder. Price: $129.00
Disclaimer: The package claims that this converter box will provide "free HD-TV with no monthly fees." The converter has no monthly fees, although it does not actually output an HD signal. Like all other converters, it only outputs 480i, whereas HD is 720p or higher. It's worthy of note that no converter box can make a standard analog television reproduce HD.
Something almost no other retailer will tell you is that this converter, like most others, has no analog pass-through, meaning a splitter is necessary to separate digital and analog signal paths. I hope my honesty means something.

Our mid-grade converter. Menus are fairly easy to navigate. Programming is done by an automatic scan which, like most other devices, erases the previous channel list. Manual programming is less intuitive, but possible. Closed-captioning and parental control is standard. Program guides can either be in "simple" format (which gives the present and next program, or in "extended" format, which can display available programs for up to 12 hours in advance. Some reviews have stated that this converter's video quality is not as good as others, but I only found it noticeable on large, good quality analog TVs. I probably only noticed because I was looking for it. On smaller screens (24" or smaller), I'm certain no one would be able to tell. This converter's tuner is noticeably less sensitive than the Channel Master, and is not recommended for areas where signal strength is a problem.

This is our base model. Menus are fairly easy to navigate, but the printed manual leaves much to be desired, both in the translation, and in content. Programming is done by an automatic scan which, like most other devices, erases the previous channel list. Manual programming is not possible. Closed-captioning is standard. Program guides are very basic, showing the current and next program. There is no "grid-style" program guide on this converter. Also, unlike the other two converters above, this converter only has a 90-day warranty, which speaks to the manufacturer's confidence level in their own product. Still, video quality is good, and the tuner's sensitivity is quite respectable.
